Different Treatment Steps of Lamp Heads
Lamp-houses are water-cooled and to secure that a repair has been carried out successfully, a leakage test is being performed after refurbishment. Hydrogen is being pumped into the cooling system at a pressure of 10 bar, where it remains for 24 hours. A so-called H2-sniffer will then detect any leak. This helps to guarantee that the refurbished lamp-house is absolutely leak-proof.
